Das Erste, das einem ins Auge fällt, sind die Farben. Alexander Wang benutze früher viel schwarz und dunkle Farben, nun aber nichts mehr davon. Die Frühjahr/Sommer 2011 Kollektion besticht durch helle und pastellfarbene Töne. Inspiriert von Anzügen, geling es ihm einen lockeren Look zu entwerfen mit vielen silberen Details, die sofort herausstechen. Außerdem, gibt es neue Taschen, die mich sehr an Boxen mit silberenen Details erinnern. Natürlich, gab es noch ein paar Accessoires. Besonders die Halsketten sind atemberaubend. Sie bestehen aus Perlen und Steinen, aber das interessanteste ist, dass sie Statement-Pieces aber immer noch dezent sind. Mein absoluter Favorit sind die Schuhe! Viele offene Stiefeletten und Schuhe mit Stacheldraht als Rieme.
Alles in einem, war es eine sehr überraschend neue Seite von Alexander Wang und er hat sich als einer meiner Lieblingsdesigner bewiesen.
Finally I'm able to post about the Alexander Wang fashion show, during the New York fashion week.
The first thing you notice are the colours. Alexander Wang used to have always a lot of black and dark colours this time, well, none of that. The spring/summer 2011 collection appears in bright and pastel colours. Inspired by suits he created a slouchy look with a lot of glamorous silver details, witch are pretty eye-catching. Also new, are the bags, they remind me of boxes with little silver details. There were a few accesoires, as well. Especially, the necklaces were stunning. They were made of pearls and stones but the most interesting was, that they were statement pieces but still discreetly. My absolute favourite are the shoes! A lot of cut-out booties and some shoes with barbed wire as stripes.
All in all it was a very suprising new side of Alexander Wang and he proved himself as one of my favourite designers.
