one year without...

Ich schminke mich seit ich 13 bin und regelmäßig seit ich 16 bin, genau damals habe ich auch angefangen ab und zu neben der Schule in einer Parfümerie zu arbeiten. Schnell entfachte ich eine große, OK seien wir erlich, eher eine monströse Leidenschaft für Schminke! Ich bettelte meine Chefn und unsere damalige Visagistin an einen Kurs belegen zu dürfen, was ich auch nach ein paar Monaten wimperklimpern und Kuchen vom Bäcker machen durfte. Der Kurs ging 2 Wochen lang und war mehr als interessant, aber vorallem hilfreich. Seitdem befasse ich mich viel mit Schminke und behaupte mal einfach so gut wie alles darüber zu wissen. Irgendwann avancierte ich auch vom Packmädel zur Aushilfsvisagistin und werde vorallem für die Weihnachtszeit oder besondere Events zurück geholt und das macht mir immer wieder große Freude. Meine Freunde und Familie profitieren davon aber auch immer mehr! Gerne und oft biete ich ihnen meine Leistungen an und bis jetzt, ich klopfe auf's Holz, noch NIE ein negatives Feedback. Ob ich es irgendwann mal professionell ausüben möchte ist fraglich, da ich den Berufseinstieg mehr als schwierig finde, aber man soll ja bekanntlich niemals nie sagen.

Nun aber zum Kern dieses Posts:
Mit den Jahren hat sich so einiges angesammelt! Ein paar der Sachen habe ich geschenkt bekommen, den größten Teil habe ich mir jedoch selbst besorgt und um erlich zu sein, will ich gar nicht wissen WIE VIEL an Geld in meiner Schublade liegt! Jede neue Kollektion wurde genaustens studiert und die Must-Haves besorgt (zugegeben waren mir meine Kolleginnen eine große Hilfe hierbei!) sobald etwas Neues rauskam sofort bestellt und ja, auch vor dem vierten roten oder sechsten pinken Lippenstift nicht zurückgeschreckt. Kurz vor Silvester msste ich zu Muji um noch ein paar weiter Element zu besorgen, damit auch ja alles ordnungsgemäß präsentiert wird. Das Endergebnis (nachdem alle Taschen nach Lippenstiften durforstet wurden) war nicht nur für mich mehr als schokierend, sondern auch für meinen besten Freund. Er war für knappe 10 Sekunden komplett erstarrt und bekam nur ein mageres 'O mein Gott' raus. Natürlcih war ich eine solche Reaktion von weiblichen Betrachtern gewohnt, aber irgendwie gab mir seine Reaktion gepaart mit dem neuen Anblick zu denken übrig. Mir wurde bewusst, dass ich eine Linie ziehen muss unzwar ASAP und natürlich sollte es keine Diet werden, sondern ein kompletter Verzicht FÜR EIN JAHR LANG! Glaubt mir, ich weiß wirklich nicht was mich da geritten hat und ja, ich werde dafür belächtelt und, nein keiner kauft mir es ab. Natürlich werde ich meine Mascara, meinen Concealer, mein Make-up und mein Puder nachkaufen, aber keine Eksursionen nur das Altbewährte.
Und ja, ich habe schon erste Entzugserscheinungen...

I'm using Make-Up since I'm 13 and since my 16th birthday on a regular base and that also whe I started wor sometimes in perfume store besides school. I got fascinated pretty fast by Make-up and this love has grown since then non-stop! I begged my boss and our make-up artist to allow me to do a course so I could learn it on a professional base which they allowed after some months and after some delicious cakes from the bakery. The course went for 2 weeks and was more than interesting but above all I learned tons of helpful hints and tricks. Since then I am all about make-up and inform myself regularly about everything an I would even say that I know nearly everything about it. After two years I turned from the little girl who wrapped gifts during holiday to the girl who helps out and does the make-up during holiday season and at some events. My friends and family do profit from my skills as well and since today, i'm knocking on the woodden table, i never ever got a negative feedback. I would negotiate that I'm ever going to do it professionally because in my opinion it's pretty hard to get a fulltime and wellpaid job in this buisness but like they say: never say never!

But now let's turn to the main point in this post:
Over the years I've collectes tons of stuff! There are some products which I got as a gift but most it I have bought by myself and to be honest with you I sincearly don't want to know how much money is lying in my drawer! Every new collection had to be studied so I could buy the must-haves (of course my work-buddys have been a huge help for that) and as soon as something was reliesed I found myself ordering it and yes there was stopping even for the fourth red or the sixth pink lipstick.
Before christmas I went to Muji to get some more storage-element so everything was represented the way it should be. The result (after all of my bags have been combed through searching for lipsticks) was not only for me more than shoking but above all for my best friend. He freezed for almost ten seconds and to say a simple 'Oh my god' afterwards. Of course, I was used to this kind of reaction by all of my girl friends but in someway his reaction had made me to think about this mass of tons of prodcts which were presented in this drawer. It was clear to me that I had do draw a line note in future rather ASAP and of course it shouldn't be a diet it has to be a complete abandonment FOR ONE WHOLE YEAR! Trust me, O seripusly don't what happened to me and yes, everybody starts laughing at me as soon as I tell them and no, no one belives in me. Of course I'm going to buy my mascara, cocealer, foundation and powder again, but nothing new just my old beloved classics.


And yes, I have already some withdrawal symptoms...

Wie hier schon berichtet befindet sich mein Zimmer im Moment, oder auch eher seit Monaten im Wandel. Die Wände sind gestrichen und das Meiste aus meinen roten Zimmer ist inzwischen hellen und freundlichen Farben gewichen, aber noch nicht alles. Ein neues Bett fehlt noch und meine Schreibtisch-Fernseh-Kombi wird auch noch etwas Veränderung ertragen müssen. Diese Woche habe ich endlich die Kissenhüllen aus der HOME Abteilung von H&M im Laden ergattern können, da sie online nur noch in gelb erhältlich sind. Übrigens habe ich so viel Kissen, weil das neue Bett auch breiter werden soll ;) Ich muss sagen, dass ich super zufrieden mit der Qualität der Kissenhüllen von H&M bin! Die Schwarzen sind über ein Jahr alt und man sieht absolut keine Abnutzungsspuren oder Ähnliches! Hoffentlich bleibt es so, da ich bei der Kleidung die Jahre über eine extrem Verschlechterung der Qualität realisiern konnte.

Like I've posted here my room is going through some little changes currently or let's say since a few months. The walls have been painted and the most of my red room has been dimissed and tranformed into lighter and brighter colours, but it's far from beeing totally done. There is still a new bed and desk-tv-combination missing. This week I finally found the pillow cases from HOME section by H&M at the store which are only available in yellow online at the moment. By the way I have so many pillows on my bed because the future one is going to be bigger ;) Anyways I have to say that I'm pretty satisfied with the quality of the pillow cases by H&M! The black ones are over a year old and you can't see any traces of wear or anything else! Hopefully it's going to staythis way because I have seen the quality of the clothes becoming worse over the years.

Hätte ich ein Ankleidezimmer (ist definitv ein MUSS für meine erste eigene Wohnung) würde ich mich wahrscheinlich auch wieder über den Platzmangel beschweren. Um den gegeben Platz aktuell auszunutzen kaufe ich immer wieder gerne praktishe Kleiderbügel, wie heute z.B. für meine Röcke.

If I would have a closet room (a must in my first apartment) I would claim it to small as well. To use every cm in my current situation I always search for practical hangers, like this one for my skirts which I got today.

In drei Stunden kommt der Maler, dann trenne ich mich von meien roten Wänden. Ein sehr komisches Gefühl... Ich hab mich immer so cool gefühlt mit ihnen!

The painter is going to arrive in three hours, so it's finally time to say goodbye to my red walls. It's kind of a strange feeling.. I always felt so cool with them!

what happened this week

Diese Woche war ed definitiv ruhiger auf meinem Blog, doch es gibt zahlreiche Gründe dafür!
Es wurde die Heimwerker-Ader ausgelebt in Form einer neuen Regals und eines neuen Nachttisches. Außerdem wurden neue Polstermöbel für das Wohnzimmer bestellt, doch die Lieferung dauert noch etwas.

It was pretty quiet this week on my blog but there are several reasons for that!
I got a new shelve and a new table besides my bed as well a new couch for the living room which will be delivered in a few weeks.


Diese Schuhe wurden im Vorbeigehen gekauft. Perfekt für die Arbeit im Frühling und die Farbe ist ultra leicht zu kombinieren.

I bought this shoes while just passing the shop. They are perfect for work in spring and because of the colour very easy to combine.

Überraschend fand ich noch den längst ausverkauft geglaubten Haargummi bei H&M.

Suprisingly I found this Hairband at H&M eventhoug I thought it was sold out for a long time.
Und als ob die Woche nicht stressig genug war, plagt mich seit drei Tagen eine fiese Erkältung... Jedoch kann mir nichts meine Vorfreude auf das heute gekaufte Auto verderben, außer vielleicht die zwei Wochen die ich warten muss (oder die Panik einen Geländewagen zu fahren haha)

As if the week wasn't stressful enough I have a bad cold since three days... Anyways, nothing can ruin my pleasant anticipation about the new car, which was bought today maybe only the two weeks I have to wait (or my panic to drive a SUV haha)

Bei Muji in Düsseldorf hab ich mir u.a. dieses Regal für meine Nagellacke geholt. Das ganze schmückt nun meine Kommode. Das Innenleben gibt es dann demächst :)

it's so vogue!

3 Jahre hat es gedauert und voilá meine Vogue Wand wurde letzte Woche fertig gestellt! Ich verehre sie, obwohl sie bald eine neue Hintergrundfarbe bekommen wird.

It took me 3 years to finish my Vogue wall and voilá here we go I finished last week! I adore it absolutely, eventhough I will change the colour of the wall pretty soon.

Da ich bald mein Zimmer renovieren werde, lasse ich mich schon mal vorab etwas inspirieren. Wie man unschwer erkennen kannm wird es ins komplette Gegenteil gehen.

Becaus I'm going to renovate my room in near future I'm already getting a bit inspired. You are also able to see that it is going to become the absolute opposite from how it is currently.

MUJI

Vor ein paar Wochen habe ich mir diese Acryl-Elemente von MUJI für meine Schminke bestellt und gestern kam alles an. Ich bin allem sehr zufrieden! Nun hat jedes Teil seinen eigenen Platz und es sieht alles sehr ordentlich aus. Die Investition von 25€ war es allemal wert.

A few weeks ago I've ordered these acryl-elements from MUJI for my make-up and they arrived yesterday. I'm totally satisfied with everything! Now everything has it's own place and it looks very neatly. The investing of 25€ has been more than worth it.

Vor ein paar Wochen habe ich angefangen neue Bilder an meine Wand zu hängen. Es sind alte Vogue Covers, welche von meinem alten Kalender stammen. Es fehlen immer noch sechs weitere Rahmen, da ich nicht möchte, dass sie alle gleich sind. Ich halte euch auf dem Laufenden ;)

A few weeks ago I started to put some new pictures on my wall. They're old Vogue covers and it used to be my calendar from last year. There are still six frames missing, because I don't want them to be all the same. I keep you update ;)
